Wow! This place is crazy. After just one day it feels like I've been here for a week! I am making friends quickly. Everyone is pretty fun to be around if you can ignore all of the swearing. I would say about half the people here really like to use the "F" word, a lot, especially the drill sergeants.
When we first got here a drill sergeant came onto the bus and yelled at us for a while. THen we got off the bus and a different one yelled and cursed at us for a while. Then we went into a room and had dinner while we got yelled at. It was pretty terrible. We got to sleep at about 12:00 and I only slept maybe an hour. At 4:30 a drill sergeant started yelling at us to get up and do this and that and do it faster than humanly possible. It was still dark outside and he had us march around for a while. It was crazy.
I had a pretty hard time last night. I was missing you, Jane and Maren a lot, but I think I'm okay now. It was just the initial shock I think of how crazy this place is and how much I miss you.
We got all of our clothes today - tons of clothes. A huge army duffel bag filled to the rafters. It was about $1000 worth of clothes that they pay for. I won't know my mailing address for another week. So the minute I find out I will let you know.
Next Wednesday is when we finally get to Basic Training. Right now we are at the processing camp and we will be here for another week before we finally get to go to Basic.
I love you so much and miss you more than I ever have.
