Hey Sweetie!

I've been thinking about you all day today as you've been experiencing your first full day of boot camp. I've been wondering what you have been doing and wondering how you are doing. I know that you are still getting processed, but I'm sure you're really getting a better perspective on what it is going to be like. I was sad when you called me last night (the very last time we talked on the phone) and I asked you what it was like and your one word answer was "depressing." It's hard for me to be here and not to be able to help you. I ache to be with you again, in your arms, you are the love of my life!

Anyway, you'll be happy to know that we aren't pregnant. I finally took a pregnancy test this morning just to be sure. I waited until today because I wanted my parents to be home just in case...I didn't think that it was a good idea for me to find out that I was pregnant with my 3rd baby in our third year of marriage while I was by myself and missing you terribly. I might have had a real break down :)

The girls are doing really amazing. They are seriously such angels and it is such a joy being their mother. Maren is really starting to chunk up as you will soon start to be able to see in pictures. She has more substantial (and pinchable) bum cheeks and even has a fat roll in each thigh. She is still very long and skinny, but she is definitely starting to catch up. She is generally pretty happy when she is awake and she smiles a lot. She is also now hitting toys in front or her like when I have the giraffe toys on the bouncer she flails out at them and makes them rattle. She is just starting to try to sleep through the night. Monday night was the first night that she really did it and she went from about 9 pm to 6 am which was pretty awesome. So hopefully she'll keep that up because it feels really good to me to be able to sleep all night long.

Now onto Jane, what a love! Like I told you earlier on the phone she has 9 teeth now, I can't believe that she had 3 teeth that we didn't even know about. We must have just had a baby or something. Jane is trying to talk more and more every day. Her newest legitimate phrase is "oh no" and she says it so dramatically, it's adorable! The other great thing about it, like I told you earlier is that she gets it mixed up some times and says "no oh." It sounds pretty darn cute. She has really fallen in love with reading books and does it a lot during the day. I'm going to make a "daddy book" with a little photo album or something with lots of pictures of you and probably some of your family too so that she can read it like a book and we can talk about you while we look at the pictures. Jane has been a little sick today with a runny nose and I think her throat hurts, but she has been such a trooper.

Well, things are really starting to settle down here. I have more I want to say, but I'm going to save it for tomorrow's letter because it is getting late and I want to have lots of good things to say in every letter so I'm going to have to spread it out a little bit. I hope that you will be able to write me soon so that I have an address to send my letters too. I can't even begin to tell you how much I love you and how proud I am of you. You are part of every thought I have during the day and I'm sure your part of my sleeping thoughts too I just don't remember those as well. Until tomorrow :)

Love-Jess

P.S. Every time I think about our Mimi's Cafe adventures I can't help but get a huge smile! What an adventure, you and me babe, forever!
